Ben Mills, CPA is a seasoned CPA and fractional CFO with decades of expertise in finance, strategic planning, and leadership across numerous industries. In the spring of 2025, Ben will serve as an adjunct professor of accounting at Marist College in Poughkeepsie, NY.
With over 30 years of experience in public accounting, Benjamin Mills has dedicated his career to guiding businesses through financial challenges. His focus has always been on helping companies achieve sustainable growth. He is a licensed CPA in New York and New Jersey and a proud member of the AICPA.
He has had the privilege of working with companies across many industries, including those with revenues over $500 million. His experience includes working at top regional and national accounting firms.

Beyond Accounting: A Record of Leadership and Service
In addition to his extensive experience in accounting, Benjamin Mills has held leadership roles in several organizations deeply meaningful to him. He served as President of the New York State Society of CPAs’ Mid-Hudson chapter, leading initiatives to support the professional growth of his peers. Additionally, he was the Board Chair of the Greater Hudson Valley Council of the Boy Scouts of America, where he worked with a team to serve over 7,500 scouts across seven counties. Under his leadership, a 45-member board successfully navigated a challenging merger and a national bankruptcy process. As Chair of the Council’s Bankruptcy Taskforce, Mills spearheaded an innovative plan to fund a $6.2 million mandatory contribution, ensuring that three camps remained operational without incurring debt or layoffs.
Mills also served as President of the Mahwah Regional Chamber of Commerce, guiding a 22-member board and over 400 businesses in strategic planning and local growth efforts. His leadership extended to the Hudson Valley Builders Association, where as a board member, he collaborated with industry peers to promote regional development.
